About VFO

Virtual Flight Options is based on modern, real-world companies providing fractional ownership of aircraft to individuals and corporations who seek the advantages and flexibility of aircraft ownership, at a price that makes economic sense.

Our fleet includes the Beechcraft King Air B200 and numerous executive jets including the Falcon 50, Embraer 135 Legacy, Beechjet 400A and more.

Virtual Flight Options is a VATSIM VA partner, and all flights are required to be completed online via the VATSIM network. The requirement for online flights is based on the fact that the VATSIM network with real time live ATC provides as realistic an experience as possible to pilots.

Unique to Virtual Flight Options are the pilot choices for flights. Pilots are not required to fly any specific routes. On the Operations page there are three options to assist the pilot in determining a flight: Service Cities, Flight Strings, and Charter Scenarios. Specific Charter Requests can be made to the VFO staff via the forum or email. Virtual Flight Option's standard service area is the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and has expanded to include the Extended Service Area, or International destinations based on the needs of clients. Virtual Flight Options has four Domiciles in the United States including:

  • KCGF Cuyahoga County Airport Cleveland, Ohio
  • KTEB Teterboro Airport Teterboro, New Jersey
  • KPBI Palm Beach Airport Palm Beach, Florida
  • KMCC McClellan Airfield Airport Sacramento, California.

Domiciles are where aircraft maintenance and pilot training occur. Since there is no route system, while pilots are based at a domicile, they are not required to conduct flights out of the domicile, as would be standard with regular virtual airlines. Virtual Flight Options aircraft are based around the Service Area as required by clients.

Virtual Flight Options is partnered with Metro Helicopters providing connecting flights and seamless air transport for passengers in cities that Metro Helicopters service.

Virtual Flight Options also is one of few virtual airlines to offer a dispatching system, or Operational Control Center (OCC). Use of the OCC by pilots, when online is encouraged, but not mandatory. For more information on the OCC please see the Operations Manual.
